Selling your UX in Fresno & Clovis
The UX is one of the vehicles Fresno families hand down, load up, and keep a decade. When the next repair stops making sense, the car still has real value — as long as it starts, drives, and has a working key, we’ll price it for what it is.
The UX launched for 2019 as Lexus's smallest crossover, sold as the front-drive UX 200 with a 2.0L four-cylinder and the all-wheel-drive UX 250h hybrid using an electric rear motor. A limited-run UX 300e electric version was not sold in the US. For 2025 the hybrid became the UX 300h with a stronger system and revised equipment, while the gasoline-only UX 200 was dropped after 2022.
The usual trigger is a shop quote: hybrid battery and system aging (UX 250h) is common on the UX, and CVT and eAWD component wear isn’t far behind it. Faced with that bill, most owners would rather sell the car as it sits. That’s our whole business — we price the problems in and make one clear offer, guaranteed for 7 days.
Lexus UX at a glance: 2019–2025 model years · luxury subcompact crossover SUV · every trim considered — what matters is that it starts, drives, and has a working key.

Common UX problems we still buy
These are the issues UX owners call us about most. None of them end the conversation — they’re priced in:
- Hybrid battery and system aging (UX 250h). The 250h's nickel-metal-hydride battery loses capacity with age and heat, reducing electric assistance and fuel economy before any warning light appears. Out of warranty, a weakening pack is a cost owners often avoid by selling the crossover while it still drives normally.
- CVT and eAWD component wear. The hybrid's electronic continuously variable transmission and rear electric motor are reliable but expensive components when faults appear, and the gas UX 200's CVT can whine or hesitate with neglected fluid. A drivetrain quote on a small crossover pushes many owners to sell instead.
- 12V battery drain and warning cascades. Weak 12V batteries are a frequent cause of multiple warning lights and no-start conditions on hybrid UX models, sometimes misdiagnosed as hybrid-system failures. Repeated electrical scares erode owner confidence, and some sell the car after chasing the same warnings twice.
- Run-flat tires and ride wear. Many UX models were fitted with run-flat tires that ride firmly, wear quickly, and cost more than conventional tires, with no spare provided. A full set quote at a tire shop has genuinely been the last straw for owners who then sell the car.
And if the problem is paperwork rather than mechanical, you’re in the right place: a UX that failed smog, a car with expired registration, or one whose title is lost or in someone else’s name can usually still be sold — those pages walk through each case. We pay at pickup and tow free inside the service area.
How selling your UX works here
Step 1
Tell us about your UX
One short form — year, model, mileage, and 12 quick condition questions. Honest answers are what let us hold the offer.
Step 2
Get one clear offer
We check the real market for your exact UX and send one offer — no instant lowball from a computer. If the vehicle matches its description, the offer is guaranteed for 7 days.
Step 3
We pick it up, you get paid
Free pickup in the Fresno–Clovis area, often as soon as the next day when scheduling allows. You sign, get paid at pickup, and hand over the keys — we handle the smog and DMV paperwork after the purchase.
One honest limit: the car does need to start and drive, and have a working key. Fixable problems are our specialty; a car that can’t move under its own power isn’t a fit.
UX seller questions
My UX failed smog and the registration is expired. Can I sell it?
Usually, yes. A failed smog check and back registration are two of the most common UX situations we handle — tell us about them in the application and they’re priced into the offer instead of stopping the sale. We handle the smog and DMV side after the purchase.
How much is my UX worth to you?
It depends on the year, mileage, trim, and condition — a late-model UX and a 200,000-mile commuter are different cars, and we price them that way. We check the real market for your exact UX and send one clear offer, guaranteed for 7 days if the car matches its description. No instant computer number that changes at pickup.
My UX has hybrid battery and system aging (UX 250h). Will you still buy it?
Usually, yes — that is one of the documented UX issues, and it’s priced in, not rejected. The same goes for the rest of this model’s known list. What we can’t buy: no working key, a blown engine, a UX that won’t start or drive, or major structural damage.
What UX years do you buy?
We buy the Lexus UX across the 2019–2025 range, and we’ll look at older examples case by case. Condition matters more than the year — a high-mileage UX that starts, drives, and has a working key is exactly what the form is for.
