Selling your Air in Fresno & Clovis

Airs accumulate miles quietly in the Valley: long Highway 99 commutes, cars handed down to new drivers, and daily drivers that have simply outlasted two or three other cars in the same family. A Lucid showing 180,000 or 220,000 miles isn’t unusual here, and it isn’t a problem for us — high mileage is normal for this model and priced into every offer we make.

The Air is Lucid's first car, a luxury sedan built in Arizona from late 2021 and sold from 2022, famous for range — up to 512 miles in Grand Touring form, the highest of any US-sold EV — on a 900-volt architecture. The range runs Pure, Touring, Grand Touring, and the 1,234-horsepower Sapphire, with rear- and dual-motor layouts. Production volumes are small next to Tesla's, which makes every used example a thin-market event.

The usual trigger is a shop quote: software and interface faults is common on the Air, and key and access recognition issues isn’t far behind it. Faced with that bill, most owners would rather sell the car as it sits. That’s our whole business — we price the problems in and make one clear offer, guaranteed for 7 days.

Lucid Air at a glance: 2022–2025 model years · electric luxury large sedan · every trim considered — what matters is that it starts, drives, and has a working key.

Common Air problems we still buy

Every Air develops its known issues with age, and these are the ones we see most. Private buyers walk away from every one of them; we price them in instead:

  • Software and interface faults. Early Airs were documented for software immaturity — slow or freezing screens, profile and setting amnesia, and update-related quirks. Lucid has improved the software steadily, but owners who bought a luxury sedan, not a beta test, are the ones who sell.
  • Key and access recognition issues. Phone-key and fob recognition faults — the car failing to notice its owner, or alarming when it shouldn't — are among the most-reported early Air annoyances. Individually small, they erode the luxury experience daily, and daily irritation is what moves these cars.
  • 12-volt and charging behaviour. Like several EVs, the Air has reports of 12-volt battery failures leaving the car unresponsive, and of DC fast-charging speeds that vary with conditions and software state. A car that occasionally won't wake up is a car whose owner starts shopping.
  • Thin service footprint. Lucid's studio and service network is small, and owners outside its coverage rely on mobile technicians and transport for bigger work. For a car at this price, the logistics of a repair can matter more than the repair itself when an owner decides to move on.

And if the problem is paperwork rather than mechanical, you’re in the right place: a Air that failed smog, a car with expired registration, or one whose title is lost or in someone else’s name can usually still be sold — those pages walk through each case. We pay at pickup and tow free inside the service area.

How selling your Air works here

Step 1

Tell us about your Air

One short form — year, model, mileage, and 12 quick condition questions. Honest answers are what let us hold the offer.

Step 2

Get one clear offer

We check the real market for your exact Air and send one offer — no instant lowball from a computer. If the vehicle matches its description, the offer is guaranteed for 7 days.

Step 3

We pick it up, you get paid

Free pickup in the Fresno–Clovis area, often as soon as the next day when scheduling allows. You sign, get paid at pickup, and hand over the keys — we handle the smog and DMV paperwork after the purchase.

One honest limit: the car does need to start and drive, and have a working key. Fixable problems are our specialty; a car that can’t move under its own power isn’t a fit.

Air seller questions

My Air failed smog and the registration is expired. Can I sell it?

Usually, yes. A failed smog check and back registration are two of the most common Air situations we handle — tell us about them in the application and they’re priced into the offer instead of stopping the sale. We handle the smog and DMV side after the purchase.

What Air years do you buy?

We buy the Lucid Air across the 2022–2025 range, and we’ll look at older examples case by case. Condition matters more than the year — a high-mileage Air that starts, drives, and has a working key is exactly what the form is for.

My Air has software and interface faults. Will you still buy it?

Usually, yes — that is one of the documented Air issues, and it’s priced in, not rejected. The same goes for the rest of this model’s known list. What we can’t buy: no working key, a blown engine, a Air that won’t start or drive, or major structural damage.

My Air’s title is lost or in someone else’s name. Can I sell it?

Often, yes. Tell us the title situation in the application — lost titles, titles signed by a previous owner, and lien paperwork are situations we walk through every week, and we’ll explain the correct next step before scheduling pickup.
